365 days of TWCA – wow. It went by so fast.

I started TWCA, the web content agency, when I arrived back in Austria after a round the world trip – broke and keen to start something fresh, inspiring and something of my own.

When researching skiing resorts in Austria from the UK I noticed that not one result shown in the organic listings of the Google.co.uk search brought back anything remotely Austrian. There were many many holiday directories and holiday websites from the UK, but not one single Austrian ski resort, or an Austrian hotel in a ski resort. The other thing that struck me and still strikes me day after day was the bad quality of translations out there.

So I sat down and decided that it was time to introduce quality content for SEO and inbound marketing and online marketing purposes to Austria and to start my own business focussing on multilingual content for websites and translations for online and offline media – translations that truly make sense – quality copy including the right keywords for an international clientele.

On September 5th 2008 I registered my business and one year later TWCA can proudly look back at a truly successful first year.

Today the UK search still brings back a large proportion of UK holiday directories, but clients have started to focus on their online marketing activity. Keywords and copy are finally targeted towards an international clientele and the idea of attracting an audience from abroad finally arrived in lovely Austria, a country living of millions and millions of visitors, holiday makers and guests each year.
Strong partnerships and great working relationships as well as a dedicated and motivated team have made the first year of building this business go by quickly and yes, it also has been a lot of fun.
